Milonga Basics Series in June

Leo and Olga are teaching milonga basics from 5 to 6 PM for 4 Sundays: June 7, 14, 21, 28.

Milonga is one of the three primary rhythms that tango dancers dance to at tango parties called "milongas" (try not to confuse the two).
These rhythms are: Tango (4/4 time), Vals (3/4 time) and Milonga (2/4 time). Almost any tango step can be danced to Milonga rhythm, but there are also many steps which fit especially well into the milonga rhythm.

Check out this great video for one of the tango greatest dancers performing milonga at a festival.

This class introduces students to these basic steps of Milonga dance (or maybe we will learn some steps from the video).

JCC members: $12 per person, $20 per couple. Non-members: $15 per person, $25 per couple
